I made a special "splurge" valentine's dinner. We had Hungry Girl's Te Quiero Tequila Shrimp which I really enjoyed for it's simplicity. Basically shrimp and fresh tomatoes, onions, garlic, and a little chili powder. Very fresh flavors. I served it over rice, even though the recipe didn't call for it. We also had steamed sugar snap peas -- they were like candy. I made bread in my machine -- Oatmeal Applesauce. It has a little cinnamon in it, but not so much that you feel like you have to eat it for breakfast (which I did this morning!)
There's always an excuse to leave the dishes, dusting, scrubbing and especially yard work for later. My favorite excuses are sewing, reading, cooking, and now decorating my new house with custom projects. Getting away from home in our new camper is also a great excuse -- although that's just another house to clean! Here's what's going on with me and my favorite hobbies.
